My name is David Enzel. I live and work in Washington, DC.

I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I have a BA in Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh and a JD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.

I grew up in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh and have fond memories of Mineo’s Pizza, I moved to Washington after graduating from law school in 1979.

I enjoy travel, photography and technology. For those old enough to remember, I owned an 8-track tape player. I never met a gadget I didn’t like. For the past ten years, I have relied mainly on Apple for my tech.

I’m a child of immigrants. My father was born in Poland and my mother was born in Czechoslovakia (now Ukraine). They survived the Holocaust. On April 29, 1945, the United States Army liberated them from the Dachau Concentration Camp near Munich, Germany. They then emigrated to the country that freed them, which is where I was born. I’m a proud American who believes that Holocaust education and remembrance are important and bear meaningfully on the current world climate.

I share my photos on SmugMugFlickrInstagram and in some posts here.
